These women claim that by adopting a federal suffrage amendment, it violates the constitution (popular vote) and that by opening up the question of suffrage, no other legislation could be done without suffrage “pestering.”

The women who signed this petition believe a federal suffrage amendment would undermine states’ rights and go against majority opinions.

They believe that it is unacceptable to consider women’s suffrage during this time of war.

They believed approving the suffrage amendment would be a violation of states’ rights and that the number of women who oppose the amendment outnumber the supporters.

These women claim that women’s focus should be on the war, all funds should go towards the war, majority of women don’t want suffrage, President Wilson refused to support the suffrage Federal Amendment, and states’ rights would be violated if woman…

She claims that the nation should be completely focused on winning the war and that the consideration of this amendment is unwise and unpatriotic.

These women are urging congress to vote against the 19th Amendment because it will destroy white supremacy and states rights.
